Here's a small taste of what life in Port Isabel is like. I loved it there, and I go back home anytime I get homesick. :bigcry:

Dang, - vacation time - can't get here soon enough.. We're not going to PI (might do that next year) but "free accomodations" in Rockport/Key Allegro - offered to us by very generous and good friends is just too good to pass up. Doing a super long weekend in a week - then a week in late July.. Plan on spending 18 of 24 hours a day fishing.. some wade, some boat, some just sitting on a pier with the granddaughter (and adult beverages). if I get enough of those adult beverages, I'll take the golf cart down a couple streets and see if King George is there............... :) I can't wait.................... ;)

By the way, I just noticed this. The guy that is reading the book to the elementary kids is Port Isabel Tarpon #21 J.J. Gonzalez.

A quick clip of the kid here.

It's never too late! Who knows, you might like Port Isabel so much you might start trying to convince other Celina families to move on down. There's some GREAT houses around the golf course still available, and considering the fact the cost of living in PI is much cheaper, a house that might set you back 500k in the DFW Metroplex is literally 1/2 that cost down in the Port Isabel area. :)

Speaking of which, here's one such listing! If this townhouse were anywhere else, it would be listed for 600k+ at least. Instead, it's listed at 299k and check out the killer views. :) http://www.zillow.com/homes/Laguna-Vista-TX_rb/#/homedetails/43-Harbor-Town-Laguna-Vista-TX-78578/67701505_zpid/
