I think this is a great recruiting tool for Tarleton but how does this differ from the reasoning for moving the State Tourney away from A&M's campus?

This isn't the state tournament, just a qualifier which I think they have hosted in the past.

It was moved because the SEC doesn't allow it.

I believe it is a NCAA rule but it only applies to FBS institutions

Brownwood
Dublin
Graham
Springtown
Stephenville

This will be fun to watch.

I think Granbury may be in there also...so teams may get 5 games in Saturday

Brownwood will have kids missing. Not 100% sure how many yet. Last week in Glen Rose I think we were without around 4 starters for various reasons.

Stephenville will likely be missing a few players as well... word on the street.

Stephenville will not be full strength. Heard Stidham will be at the Florida Gator camp today. We'll see how it turns out. It's June, it's hot, it's 7 on 7 time baby!

I'll join in on this too.... Lorena won't be full strength either because..... uh.. some of the players have grandmothers that died.. that's the ticket... their grandmothers died... and we are playing some JV guys.... and our coach is sick. So if we don't do well..... well.. that's why. Thanks.

I dont know the details of all the games however Brownwood went 2 and 1...Lost game 1 to Stephenville 28-14 and won against Springtown 58-21 and Dublin 40-32. We host a 16 team tournament June 16th.

After talking to several who were there, Stephenville only played 2 games. Played Brownwood and Springtown. Guess some teams in the qualified pool got less games. Stephenville had to play with a make shift QB. ;)
