When the UIL swiches to 6 classifications, will the 7on7 still be broken up into 2 divisions or will they go with 3?

Great question I'm sure that question won't be answered until after realignment in February....

My guess is 6A and 5A will be Div. I

4A and below will be Div. II

In the Glen Rose DII SQT. Stephenville is playing Hico. That is hardly fair.

Yes its the way it should work out....can't justify a third division...if more teams played maybe...but right now not enough teams play

Thats really not true. Small schools have beaten larger schools in 7 on 7 all the time.

I understand that there are exceptions. Like Hico beat Glen Rose the other night but on the average, 1A teams have very little success with the 3A teams.

Thats still not true. Not sure if they are 1 or 2A but Crane has one of the best 7 on 7 teams year in and year out. Trust me, Ive been coaching 7 on 7 for about 10 years. Weve beaten Abilene High and Cooper a lot. We have also lost to smaller schools it happens all the time.

I do get your point though.

Hardley fair is having to play a 6 man team...they get an extra player

Depends on what your version of playing 7 on 7 is.....almost everyone plays 7 on 7 in some form or fashion...but not everyone plays in qualifying tournaments

I'd say 4a d1 - 6a division 1

4a d2 - 1a d2 division 2
