TCU offers Gilmer's Kris Boyd

A talent-laden TCU camp in Kilgore on Wednesday resulted in a couple of offers going out to two of East Texas’ top football players in the 2015 class.

Longview running back Ja’Mycal Hasty and Gilmer running back/cornerback Kris Boyd each received an offer from TCU, which held a camp at Kilgore High School. Horned Frogs head coach Gary Patterson was in attendance.

Congrats to Kris and I'm sure he'll receive many more offers. I think this is the earliest time in a career that a Buckeye has ever received such an offer.

I have been wondering for years why TCU doesn't recruit Gilmer more heavily. Back in the Wacker era, the Frogs were always ready to jump at a Gilmer prospect.

Congratulations to Kris Boyd! If he can stay healthy he will have a monster year. His little brother DeMarco, who will be a sophomore this season, is another one that should definitely get some looks this year. So far we have two D1 players on this year's team, with Josh Walker already verbally committed to Texas A&M.

All over...he is one of those rare kids that just materializes where the play is going...he loves QB's in particular.

TCU seems to always do well with those 2 position hs players they put on the defensive side of the ball.
