Lubbock Cooper vs. Stephenville

Series @ Hardin Simmons (Abilene)

Game 1: Thursday 5pm
Game 2: Thursday 30 min after Game 2
Game 3: Friday Noon (if needed)

Knowing Lubbock Cooper is a very solid team, they will be tough to beat. We've heard all year of they're depth in pitching. That's key for a deep playoff run. Stephenville is a very solid team who have started peaking at the right time. A team full of great competitors. Pitching is solid and the bats have been on fire. Looking for a great series!

Stephenville in 2 games! State is what these guys know. Cooper stands in the way, will be a tough out, but nothing is stopping them now.

Lubbock Cooper in 2...they have unfinished business because their 2012 team may have honestly been the best 3A team I've ever seen and didn't get it done

Looking at some long term outlooks on the jet stream and moisture I think that the weather may win. :thinking:

Lubbock Cooper in 2...they have unfinished business because their 2012 team may have honestly been the best 3A team I've ever seen and didn't get it done That's how I see it, too...but Stephenville may give them some trouble.

Cooper wins this series! I really think it ends in 2 games as well. Stephenville has gotten hot at the right time, but Cooper is too consistent and too deep on the mound. Pirates stamp their ticket to Austin

That's how I see it, too...but Stephenville may give them some trouble.

Take off the purple glasses! Apparently you're vision is blurred. There is no "may" about it ccmom! LC will have to play their best baseball to oust Stephenville. ;)

I have to agree with Hollywood, the Jackets are rolling and their bats are on fire right now! They're gonna be a tough out, even for a team with pitching depth. Yellowjackets win this one.

If it's on... Alvarado had several good pitchers and one that could hum it upper 80's low 90's.... just sayin'! ;) That's why the game is played.

Was gonna head over to Abilene to watch this doubleheader but decided to stay home and watch Bangs vs. Wall in the 2A Region I final here in Sweetwater. It wasn't much closer but a bangs kid hit a walk off 3 run bomb to left to end the game 14-4 in 6 innings. That was fun to watch.

That's been the case for the last ten years or so. If Stephenville would've been able to beat both Andrews and Lubbock Cooper (both perennial powers in Region 1) on their way to state then nobody could say they didn't earn it.

Congrats to Lubbock Cooper! To an awesome team.
Congrats to Stephenville on a great historical baseball season. They were able to go further than a lot thought they would.

Best of luck to LC in the state tourney. I'm pulling for the Reg 1 rep! Go win it. They dang sure have the team to do it!
