Congrats to LaGrange for landing a really good baseball coach. Coach McCollum has done a super job at Cy Creek the past few years that he has been there. Why in the world he is taking a 20K or so pay cut im not sure, but its a heck of a deal for the Leps. Guess he was ready to get out of the city. Good luck, and send Harbers out a champ.

Looking at the payscales, its probably not quite 20k. At 10 years exp. Cy Fair pays 50g while LG pays 41g. I dont know what kind of stipends they give but im guessing cy would pay 5-8 for baseball and then another 5-8 if he coached football of any kind. At Lg i would guess 3-5 for football and 1.5-3 for baseball. So total for Cy could be anywhere from 55-65 while lg would be 44-50.

We had the same issue last time when hiring our coach, money is a big issue however with Coach McCollum having 4 kids from 11 years old and down and wanting to raise them in a small town has it's upside. I personally do not know much about him, with my son being a Senior I am done. I will make a few game next season to watch Supak but other then that , It's Fish On. The Salt Life.
