Argyle defeated Gunter 11-6 in a warm-up game for each team on Friday before the playoffs begin in baseball next week. Gunter is a 2A school north of Celina in North Texas, and has a tradition of good baseball. Their record going into Friday's contest was 20-5 against a very competitive schedule. Argyle now moves to 26-3 on the season. They will have a bye in the first round of the playoffs and schedule another warm-up game to be played sometime next week to stay sharp.
