My suggestions didn't work, or are you looking for something less drastic? Do you want to get in touch with my son?

ka, do you have administrative rights on your computer right now? if so, do this:

Login using another account (need administrator or equivalent privileges).

click start|run|"control userpasswords2"

click the account and reset password.

If that don't work, try this:

download this file... http://www.pchelpcenter.org/files/NT-2k-XPadminpass.exe
when you download it run it and it'll create a boot floppy for you, when it creates it all you have to do is restart the machine with floppy in drive, it will then ask what you want the new local admin password to be. Good luck

Then something happened to make it not a "bootup" disk. Computers are made to look at the "A" drive first. A proper "bootup" disk should run from that drive. You might have to power all the way down, insert the disk, then power up.(instead of restart)
