Its always amazing what people THINK a pitcher throws as compared to what a radar gun says they throw.

Some of the guns I've seen, I would not rely on. LOL. Yoakum had a pitcher, who's dad had one, and was never accurate.

Upper 80's average or hit it a couple times, big difference. Cuero's Johnson kid hit 86-87 a couple times against us Thursday night however he averaged 83-84 and down to low 79-80 in the 5th, Supak for us averaged 86-88 for 7innings . Just saying hitting upper 80's a few times does not make a kid upper 80's , his comfort zone and location is what makes the difference.

Upper 80's average or hit it a few times, average velocity over a number innings is what makes a difference. Take the Johnson kid from Cuero on Thursday night, he hit 86-87 a few times however he averaged 83-84 and by the 5th inning he was 79-81. Supak from La Grange averaged 86-88 over 7 innings topped out at 90, big question is what you are still throwing velocity wise in the later innings and out of the stretch.

They are still waiting on the Bellville - Columbus winner, Columbus is up 4-1 after 3 innings. Heard if for some reason they do not get game in today, they may have to flip for 3rd playoff team.

Poor Cuero. You'd think the 3 teams involved could go ahead and pre-plan the next round to be fair to Cuero and make plan's for a site and length of series, while awaiting to complete the Columbus/Bellville game. Appears weather will be kind today, and they should complete the play in game.

They didn't want a bye either, and I'm sure they didn't want Needville over #3 finisher, then face Pleasanton, in the next round if they win bi-district.

Yea , I am sure his hands were tied after losing to us twice. They had two chances to win the District championship , one win over Gonzales and they had it wrapped up. It's all good, just paly ball.

They need to come up with some type of tiebreaker H&L for ties. Head to head didn't factor in. But, should of IMO. Thus, 3-way co-district champs was awarded. Had they had a playoff for seeding, it would of really not accomplished much in the end. Cuero and Yoakum didn't want the bye, LG did, so--that pretty much settled things.

I do not think it had anything to do with or without a bye for us anyway, as a coach you look at playoff matchups and depending on your seed can help or hurt you. The bye in my eyes does not hurt you or help you , we are still playing two quailty opponents this week with the only benefit of not having to win. Great time to get some pitchers some work that you will need in the playoffs, I do not know for sure if the seeds were determined with head to head however it does makes sense even if it just happens that we had the best record.
