A congrats goes out to the 4 State Champion soccer teams after this passed weekend's state tournament held in Georgetown.
UIL 2012/2013 Soccer State Champions
4A
Girls -- Denton Guyer (over Highland Park 2-1)
Boys -- Waco University (over EP Del Valle 1-0)
5A
Girls -- Plano West (over SL Caroll 4-1)
Boys -- Coppell (over Brownsville Hanna 3-2 OT)
Notice that 3 of the 4 teams were metroplex teams. I beleive the results support the fact that the metroplex has a larger number of quality club teams that help make the HS teams stronger in this region. Some of the highest ranked club teams in the state and nation are located in the DFW metroplex area.
