Argyle and Celina met for the District title in baseball on Friday, each with a 6-1 district record. Celina got the lead early with a 2 run HR in the 2nd, but in the end Argyle's lefty Drew Gooch only allowed 5 hits as the Eagles won 11-4 to make it 6 straight district titles in baseball. Argyle(25-3) lost a game to Frisco Lone Star earlier, but has not looked back since. They earn a bye the first week of the playoffs, and will schedule a game per week as testing takes place this week. The playoffs won't begin til next week.
