Decatur and Argyle (http://bit.ly/QvCNEC).. already pretty stout.. making move as they hire new offensive coordinators from 5A jobs.. actually Decatur hired Jayson Lavender, former WF HC, but he's experienced 5A coordinator and was offered 5A jobs but took 3A.. which is becoming more attractive.. particularly on edge of DFW.... we also had Phil Castles leave 4A Corsicana for 3A Henderson.... other cases that 3A is the hot property right now? can we count Shipley from Coppell to Brownwood?

I think it's just coincidence. The 3a we have known and loved for quite sometime now is just about to be extinct.

Very true and if Padilla's numbers and speculation is even close to correct this next realignment will be insane...

Maybe out of survival.. some 3A programs are being pro-active in giving some very good coaches incentive to come to a one-school town.. but the threat of being 4A DII is out there and there will always be some big 4A schools near metro areas which will drop to 4A DII with enrollments near 2K

I do but out of respect for Carl and his work I won't post.

BTW lots of 3A tie ins...as Amarillo River Road HC Jayme Carr just sent me a text letting me know he's resigned to take the OC job at Hebron.....

Not that I don't have respect, but since he himself has posted it online and publicized it via Twitter, I don't see why I shouldn't give a link to his post.

That upper number being that high is a big surprise to me. Looks like Gilmer and Carthage will be rivals again soon.
