Astros have struck out 13 times and still gotta bat in the 9th today.

That's 5/6 games so far this season that the Astros have K'd at least 13 times...

Read this weeks sports illustrated article on " the new approach and importance " of striking out.
Apparently hitters views on this have changed
Anyhow good article

I didn't read it. But, striking out can't be good other then preventing a DP. Lot's of things can happen good by just making contact and putting it in play. Like, scoring runs and winning games, moving runners up, getting men on base. Now, if the article say's it's better to K then make contact, the game sure has changed. And, Houston should win the series this year for sure.

Astros won their 3rd game in a row and are 4-6 on the season.

Bud Norris pitched a gem giving up only 3 hits in 7 innings. After 3 starts, hes 2-1 with a 1.96 ERA.

Altuve got 3 hits, ankiel had 3 rbis and maxwell had 2 hits including a bomb to left center.

Another step to being the Rangers AAA team.

I don't really see it that way knowing the competitive nature of Reid and the Ryans for that matter. He does have ties to both clubs. That may have to change though. I know he has done a great job here with the Round Rock Express.

He has done an outstanding job running both the Express and the Corpus Christi Hooks. This is a great move for the Astros. From what I've read today, anyone who has worked with or for Reid has nothing but glowing praise for the man.
