Jack Pardee was the only person to ever coach a college team, an NFL team, a USFL team, a World Football League team, and Canadian Football League team. He was also one of the Junction boys and played six man football at Christoval high school in Texas. I'd say he knew a little about football! RIP Coach Pardee.

I once read where he was going to retire from pro football (I think it was in 1970) and Washington Coach George Allen flew to Texas to try to talk him into playing for him in Washington. When Coach Allen got to Houston he had to go by bus to where Mr. Pardee lived because due to a strike if I remember correctly no rental cars were available. Mr. Pardee said that impressed him because he couldn't see Coach Tom Landry of Dallas doing that so he played for Washington a few years before retiring.
