In girls basketball, the Winnsboro girls have not lost a district game since Daingerfield beat them in 1991 or 1992. That would make it over 100 district games they have won in a row.

i think Commerce has the longest scoring streak. It almost ended this year but our 2/3 rd offense fumbled on about our 20 and they ran it back for a TD and thats all they scored

Not in Texas, but DeLaSalle High School in California (Division I = to our 5A) hasn't lost a single football game in more than 10 years (including nationally televised games with top high school teams from Texas and other states)

Put them up against top teams like North Shore, Lufkin, Ennis, or Denton Ryan and that streak ends! California football is a totally different sport from Texas.

Wildstange - you might be right about DLS not playing any Texas high school teams. I was thinking about that annual HS All Star game between CA & TX that Texas has never won! They do play pretty good football out there though!

they just play like an 11 game season...no playoffs and state champs or anything like that, sounds kinda boring to me...

Years ago a little Texas town, Hull-Daisetta, reeled off a 47 game winning streak. They tended to offer jobs to folks in the oil industry that had promising football boys coming up in their families.

Once those games don't generally include the best players from either state so they are meaningless because the good players don't want to risk getting injured before college and possible ruining a pro career (not that they could be blamed for it since it makes sense).

Either way there a hell of a team.

I'd love to watch Galena Park North Shore DESTROY De La Salle......I'd even PAY airfare, car rental, and hotel for me and a few friends to watch it happen.

Forney has lost in the playoffs to the eventual State Champion four years in a row. :D

Concord DLS is, i believe, 149 or 150-0... they have produced a number of NFL talents... They play to a divisional championship (ie: regional finals) and leave it at that. They played the #2 team in the nation (at that time) Long Beach Poly Tech and beat them as well, handidly i might add... there was a spread on them earlier in the year in USA today... the #1 team in the nation 5 out of the last 9 years i believe...

I watched Concord DLS play Evangel a couple of Months ago, and let me tell you this. There are probably 100 public schools in Texas that could beat them like they stole something. (Including a few teams in 3A). And I am not going to listen to any argument on this subject from anyone who has not "watched" them play. :D

Lots of folks have "read" stats about how great DLS is, but folks who have "seen" them play, know that they are a good team at best. I would bet that either of our two Champs in 3A this year would clean DLS's clock.
