why would they do that to themselves? they could hardly compete vs stephenville...

Didn't Carl Padilla say on Twitter he was trying to set up a Week 1 or Week 2 game with, and I quote, "a defending state champion" against "the Valley's tradition?"

Only one that would make sense would be Stephenville vs. Port Isabel. I know, I know, you think Stephenville would blow out PI. But look at it this way. Stephenville lost to a Mexican team this past season, and Port Isabel is ALMOST but not quite a Mexican team. So it should be a pretty good game, no? LOL

Why was this game not locked in for two years? Isn't that the norm?

It was a 5A game...Carl doesn't have anything working for Stephenville right now

Cedar Hill lost their opponent w/the Miami school...since they and Ozen were originally in the classic and Stephenville was a late addition they paired Ozen and CH....

That is the norm, Stephenville-Ozen was a 1 year deal however
