HOUSTON -- Teen hearts across southeast Texas are broken after Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt said that he won’t go to prom with fans.
Several young women started campaigns to make J.J. their prom date.
He won over hearts across the nation after proposing to a 6-year-old girl. But, Wednesday night the football took to Facebook to tell his fans that he won’t be able to take them to prom.
“Ok, I feel like I need to address this. I see all of the prom invitations and I am flattered, but unfortunately I cannot take you all,” Watt posted on his Facebook page. “Love you guys and appreciate your unbelievable support. Meet me at Reliant on gamedays this fall and we'll dance there.”
