Tenaris announced on February 15, 2013 that it will build its first US seamless pipe mill in Bay City, Matagorda County, Texas. The new plant will generate 600 direct manufacturing jobs and offer substantial economic impact in Matagorda County as well as in the surrounding areas. The new facility is expected to begin full operations in 2016.
