Griffin might not get in anywhere but JuCo or Prep (Hargrave Military-type school). From what I understand, A&M coaches wouldn't let him sign until they knew he wouldn't be a grades risk. He came close to committing to Auburn a week or two ago, but the coaches there also wanted him to improve his grades.

And Miami's actually pretty selective academically. You might not think it, but it's a private school and probably the most prestigious college in Florida. It's doubtful Griffin will qualify, but on the off-chance he does, Miami just got themselves a phenomenal talent. I guess Golden was willing to roll the dice and risk losing a spot in his rollover scholarships to nab Griffin. If you're in need of some talent at the WR position (which Miami is), it's not a bad risk. They now have a couple four-star receivers with local product Stacy Coley and rounded out a class that looked lackluster heading into signing day by stealing all purpose back Corn Elder from the SEC.
