He was at practice for the Roscoe Alumni game when he went down with the heart attack

William (Bill) Parker Blackley, 43, of Roscoe, TX passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater, TX of an apparent heart attack.
Bill was born September 20, 1969 in Bryan, TX and moved to Roscoe, TX with his parents, Jim and Kay Blackley, in 1975.
Bill graduated from Roscoe High School in 1988. He studied at Western Texas College in Snyder, TX before completing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish from Sul Ross University in Alpine, TX.
Bill worked as an Adult Probation Officer for the 32nd Judicial District of Nolan County, as a State Trooper for the Texas Department of Public Safety, and a police officer for city of Plaquemine, LA. Bill was currently working for Weatherford International in Snyder, TX as a Service Representative.
Bill was a Master Mason with Sweetwater Lodge #571 in Sweetwater, TX. He loved hunting, fishing, archery, golf, and being an Artisan.
Bill married Cherie Peavy Blackley in Sweetwater, TX and resided in Roscoe, TX.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Tuesday, February 19, at First Baptist Church in Roscoe with Rev. Adam Davis officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 P.M. Tuesday afternoon at Buffalo Gap Cemetery directed by McCoy Funeral Home.

This is a sad story, he leaves a wife and 1 year old step-son. I did know know him personally, but knew his dad. He was well liked in the Roscoe Community.
