Sweeny ISD celebrated our 100th anniversary this year.
I ran across a picture of the first school in Sweeny back in 1923. This is the first school building that was built in 1913 and opened in 1914. It had 4 fireplaces and 2 stories. It burned in 1925 and another building was erected in its place.
