Texas athletic director DeLoss Dodds isn’t in love with the state of college basketball in the era of “one-and-done” players, who attend college for one year before going to the NBA, telling Austin American-Statesman columnist Kirk Bohls that “the sport of basketball is in shambles.”

Bohls was writing in the context of possible changes to make college basketball better, including moving the start of the season back to December to give it more exposure as it competes with football, both pro and college.

Texas has had a run of several players coming to college for just one season before heading to the draft, including Kevin Durant, Avery Bradley, Tristan Thompson and Cory Joseph.

The Longhorns, by the way, are 10-11 going into tonight’s game at West Virginia.

I love Mack Brown. Greatest recruiter A&M has ever had. I loved watching him on the Austin news last night talking up his O line commits. Bwahahahaha.

Who really cares about hoops? It's just something to occupy time until football season rolls around again.
