Based on the entire season start to finish, week in and week out, margins of victory against the schedule played, opponents rankings, and points scored vs points allowed....my vote for the 3A team of the year goes to the Navasota Rattlers. Great, great season start to finish...and what a finish it was against a very good Gilmer team that just had no answer for a Navasota team that played their very best game of the year to cap off a wire-wire perfect season in Class 3A. What else can a team do??? Stephenville was very impressive against its schedule as well, but the hiccup early against the Mexico team and the points allowed against Glen Rose in my opinion put Navasota on top for the year.
