I would assume Rockdale will pretty much be a lock for 3A then.

Looking at what Matt came up with, I think you have to do one of two things(this is assuming Rockdale would drop):

Cameron Yoe
Rockdale
Florence
Academy
Marlin(potential to possibly drop?)
Salado
Jarrell(not sure how fast they are growing)

Lago Vista(may go south with the likes of Hempstead & Hallettsville. They could also be in 4A DII after next year. I know they are growing as well.)
Troy(May go north)
Mcgregor(May go north)

If Jarrell does indeed move up, then I would say that Troy is included as the 8th team and then McGregor goes north. It is also possible to ship both Troy & McGregor north if Lago Vista were to stay in the district.

With the growth of Prosper would they remain a 4A or be moving to 5A? I would say within the next 2 alignments they end up 5A.

I'd say 3 alignments, but after that they'll be building a second high school and they'll fall back to 2 4As. It largely depends on when the tollway is extended over 380.

Why do we all expect the new 6A to affect 3A? If you took the 5A schools with over 2,500 kids that leaves you with 145 schools ... no way they make a top division with just 145 schools. Schools that play 6-man football will be 1A, current 11-man 1A schools will become 2A and so on. The new 6A may cut the bottom 15 or 20 schools out of 3A but that's it. I honestly don't see much change ... at least not to the extent people are expecting.

Man, it will be a bad deal for Regan and Eastside.... they have enough trouble in the weak 4A district they are currently in. LH, Burnet, Lampasas, and Taylor will be the 4 reps in the play offs.
