Vote For Split Divisions

Looks like the 3A superintendents are being polled today by the UIL regarding their preference for splitting the divisions in 3A, like what it done currently in 2A/1A

Remember it had a majority last time but UIL didnt implement it

It was roughly 51/49 (may have been 52/48 but it was very close) last time. They would really like more of a consensus because they don't want roughly half of the group to be upset. It's an expensive proposition and they need buy in.

Off the record at coaching school I was told UIL would prefer 70/30 split but 65/35 would make em really think...it was a very narrow majority for sure...can't remember the exact # but wasn't higher than 55%....most folks I've talked to think it'll be higher this time...the question is how high?

The small schools will be overwhelmingly for it so the playing field is more level. The big schools will be overwhelmingly against it because they enjoy being the big dogs. So I don't see much changing.

That division alone is mighty strong evidence there needs to be a split.

Big schools are agin' it...the only ones that will vote for it are the ones who want to do the right thing.
