La Marque offensive coordinator John Launius (2011 & 2012 seasons) has accepted the position of Athletic Director/Head Football Coach at Hemphill High School in East Texas.
On a personal note, I wish John the best. He is a straight shooter, a very good communicator with the student/athletes and I will miss seeing him on the sidelines at La Marque.
