Junior left the world and gave the best proof to date (his brain) in regards to brain injury that can occur to athletes starting at Pop Warner age. We've all known the risk, yet or desire and love of the game, placed this issue on the back burner. Or, we didn't think it was that serious. I just hope my son made it through without any lasting brain effects. Which I think we all hope for when our kid's take the field.

Knowing what I know now with this brain study of Juniors brain, I have no idea what I would do as a parent of a young kid just starting out. Don't get no clearer than this study, that repeated head contact over the years, causes long lasting effects to the brain.

I notice Juniors son, no longer plays the game. He said the game took his dad, why would he want to be part of that.
