Two longhorn football players accused of sexually assaulting a female Texas Tech student in San Antonio. They haven't released the names yet.

I would think UT could do better than Mack as far as being a football coach is concerned. Question is why have they not got rid of him. Maybe they are hoping he will fall on the sword soon and take himself out of his misery.

Tough deal, at the least the two players (reported to be Case McCoy and Jordan Hicks) are guilty of breaking team rules.....

This happens to just about every program in the country at some point, its always best not to throw stones at other programs issues because generally speaking it'll happen to you

I wasn't really throwing stones just pointing out that I think the Brass on the 40 acres is probably thinking if enough of this continues to come to light the $$$ donors will not accept this from a 8-4 football team. The Cowboys of the 90s were probably as bad as it got and everything seemed to get overshadowed by the championship rigns.

No not saying you were throwing stones..more a reference to UT fans in particular who took glee in TCU's issues this off-season...it happens to everyone

"Sgt. Javier Salazar, a police spokesman, said only that detectives are in the early stages of investigating the case. A heavily-redacted police report says a 21-year-old woman told police she had several drinks and believed she was assaulted around 2 a.m. Friday after inviting two men, identified only as students, to her hotel room."

I think maybe you are right since it is at or near the RiverWalk. I was shocked at the two players mentioned because one is injured and not expected to play and the other is not a starter. They would have been the last players I thought would have been involved. Still they were out late and broke team rules and certainly you don't want it to be one of your QBs. After an incident with me over 30 years ago I am inclined to give the players the benefit of the doubt until proof of guilt is proven.

It was over 30 years ago I went to San Antonio to take the CPA exam and the day before I took a walk around the RiverWalk and area and this was during the day. You won't believe it but within 40 minutes two women approached to join them for a few. I politely declined and I noticed a third one inching toward me and I quickly went to my hotel and room and stayed there. But that was in broad daylight and even I had enough sense to get away from there. I wish these two guys had done the same.

I use to have a list of all the ut players that have been arrested since Mack took over, but I finally quit counting after 25.....or was it 30?

BTW, what do you call 11 bonghorns in a huddle?
A dope deal.

Many of the cases by UT players were dropped or dismissed.

Anyone else find it strange that the alleged victim doesn't remember several crucial facts about the actual assault, but she remembers the ages of the two players and also the exact height & weight of the one rumored to be Hicks? This tells me that 1) she likely wasn't roofied and either 2) the sex was consensual or 3) this was a setup.

I have little doubt that the evidence will show that intercourse occurred, nor is there doubt the guys broke curfew. As of now I just can't see formal charges being filed unless something else a little more concrete is uncovered.

When you invite 20, 21 year old guys to your room after drinking, sex is expected.

One of the worse things is the timing. This could cause a delay of the "fiscal cliff" compromise. :(
