I did a double take after I posted that, but it's true. A pure passer. Lot's of sacks, a few gains, but net 6 yards on the year.

Example vs Coldspring 10 carries -39 yards.

Average per carry = 1.9 inches

Another interesting bit on Navasota QB's. The 3 prior QB's were selected by coach Fadero their senior years based on leadership qualities, not necessarily pure QB types. All 3 prior QB's went on to play college ball, but all 3 at wide receiver.

Rattler backup Keyshawn Philio played at least one full quarter in all but one regular season game (Coldspring) and Navasota's offense was ball control and short screens in the second half. Had our defense been less stingy, 5000 yards passing would have been a given. Both QB's had equally outstanding seasons. Good luck to Jones and the rest of the Ville seniors.
