Vanderhoff really only played two district games and one of those was on one leg ... the all-district teams do not take into account the rest of the season. It would be hard to put someone on an all-district team that only played for three quarters of a blowout win against Hillsboro. As for Hardy, I think people would be kidding themselves if they don't think he was the best 'running back' in the district, but the backs from Stephenville and Glen Rose were also playmakers in the passing game. Both of them had more to do with beating Alvarado than anyone on either team.

The only one that really surprises me is that Brazos wasn't a unanimous selection on the defensive line. It is what it is though ... you finish third in district then there were two other teams whose players were better than yours.

RB for a 2-3 team we were 2-2 in district and he was the leading rusher in 7-3a..just because Stephenville won district doesnt mean the RB auto goes to first team all-district..in our game against the jackets, Hardy had 115 yds rushing with 20 carries..Westbrook and Jones combined had 65 yds rushing on 21 carries. add in westbrooks recieving yards in that game (36) and he accounted for 75 total yards.

I agree. Westbrook is a great back as well.
