Peterson will not break Dickerson's record against Houston. I look for the Texans to focus solely on stopping Peterson and making Ponder beat them with the pass.

If anyone were to beat Dickerson's record, amongst those in the league right now, Peterson is the most deserving. Good, hard working athlete.

I remember seeing him in a playoff game in HS, and thought he was one of the only athletes that I thought could go straight from HS to the pros.

Peterson will break the record at home vs. Green Bay

Read a crazy stat today on TMQ.

Peterson average yards per rush--6.2
Ponder average yards per pass--5.9

Good stat for AP. Bad stat for Ponder.

Wouldn't mind seeing another Texas player break the record.

AP just went over the 2000 yard mark.

Needs 91 yards to break Dickerson's record.

I think he gets it. Also helps that Green Bay will keep scoring

Damn, looks like he's going to finish 9 yards short.

Al least they are in the playoffs.

Great season for AP...MVP candidate, definitetly the Comeback Player of the Year in my opinion.

Very selfish move by the Vikings in kicking that field goal. If they choose to take this game to OT AD would of got the record.

Real shame that last run of AP's could not have gone another 9 yards for the score---it would have been the game winner plus given him the record. That would have been appropriate and memorable.
