Gilmer wins the toss and will have the option for the start of the 2nd half. A 25 mph wind out of the north will have an effect on the passing game tonite for both teams. Graham will be going into the wind to start the game. Kickoff at 7:40 approx.

Graham Steers pick up a first on their first series to the 41 for a first down.

Another first down on run to the Buckeye 45 for the Steers. 2nd down goes for a 3 yd. loss.

Gilmer's defense is getting tons of pressure on Graham's QB but are allowing receivers to get wide open. Fortunately for us, those receivers have dropped a bunch of those. Aside from that, Gilmer's defense has played lights out.

I don't see Gilmer letting up any in the 2nd half. I just hope we figure out how to cover everyone before Graham starts to catch those open passes.

Gilmer is/was/always was better than Graham this year. Graham had a great run but doesn't have enough to win tonight. Its that East Tx thing I guess

Not a penalty-free game by any means so far, but Gilmer has managed to hop on Graham early and keep the pressure up. They will recieve the ball in the 2nd half with the wind, I believe. It seems that the team with the wind tends to do better. Graham is moving the ball, but the Buckeye D is putting pressure on the Graham qb and have dropped him for quite a few losses. Davis for Graham is finding out what it's like to find a reciever with all that pressure. Same thing happened to the Argyle qb. He overthrew Sadler and others all nite.

We'll see what adjustments have been made by both teams coming out for the 2nd half. I think Graham could complete some passes on quick routes for yardage, but we'll see what the staff does. Davis certainly can run it, but with the Buckeye pressure he needs to throw it more, imo.

Just a difference in the speed and athleticism on the field for the Buckeyes. Graham is gambling for yards and losing at every attempt. This will not work against a very good team like Gilmer.

I will butt heads and talk smack with the Gilmer faithful when it is between the Dawgs and the Buckeyes as well as anyone, but my Dawgs are done for the year and the Buckeyes are rolling towards a state championship. The Dawg nation dang sure want that championship to stay in East Texas. Besides how in the world can we keep using our famous saying (the Beast from the East) (The speed from the East) if the Bucks don't bring the championship back to East Texas.

You have no clue as to what you say...Jeff Traylor is one of the nicest men on this palnet...he points aout officiating mistakes to them...what you say is a Jack Ass is wrong...as far as players with poor attitude, onec again, you have no clue...look below the surface & you find an entirley different perception.

Thanks...very well said & back at you...perhaps the redneck hillbillies from East Texas are different from other areas...we do talk smack & we respect one another...Carthrage's coach, Scott Surratt is a great coach and a good man...Jeff Traylor & Scott are personal friends...we miss palying the Bulldogs...having high quality opponents makes for a very good team...just take a look at the East Texas Teams...just saying.
