Was there really a game (tonight) in 3A that had a score of 70 -0?

I believe Graham beat Hirshi (spelling) 70-14, that's all I know for now...

Shame on them for running the score up so far.....what were they trying to prove since they obviously had it won. frown

Wharton didn't score in the 4th... I think AP's a little down this year, it might have been hard not to score for Wharton...

This is true. Jasper beat Cleveland one year 82-0. It was 41-0 after the first quarter and the coach pulled the starters. Cleveland had a massive rebuilding year and Jasper had a great team. But you can't tell your 2nd and 3rd string kids not to score. The only way to tell is if you were at the game and saw who was playing and the plays that were called.

I think that 2 or 3 of the starters that played some in the 3 quarter could have come out, but untill you are a coach and you have been there it's hard to judge others. You might look at wharton who lost to El Campo and Brazosport by alot and look and some of the players stats and see they averaged 1 or 2 yards a carry in those terrible losses, so how do you tell that same kid we are winning so you only get 10 carries. Or your new qb who has thrown twice as many picks as td's we can't throw. I think Wharton ran 39 plays in the game, and the clock was run most of the second half. The 3rd string rb scored on his first play 80 yards. They could have scored 100 so I would not say they were trying to run up the score.

whtfb is right...Wharton put in the back up kicker in the 3rd...he was wearing a linemen number...a left-footed, toe-puncher...he hit a low/squib-like kick that hit the front line and bounced back...they recovered...the only thing they could have done to help was take a knee...there were several one or two play scoring drives, if i can use the word drive...
