We arrived around 6:30, no parking problem and sat on the 50 yard line. You must have been late to the game. By the way, the turnovers were not just bad play by WOS, the Rattlers had a bit to do with them. Hard to throw with defensive folks in your face. This game was never in doubt from the start.

Navasota is as good as advertised. No doubt the better team.

For the guy that said WOS was over rated, you can't "over rate" 9 shut outs. Our kids have played well this season. We knew our offense was an issue and knew Navasota may be a team that would cause us to have to lean on our offense and they didn't step up to the occasion. We had to have a perfect game, offensively and defensively just to stay in it and we didn't get it. You people saying LaMarque vs Navasota was the championship is just wrong. I honestly don't think LM or WOS would get past Gilmer. Navasota will in my opinion.

Coldspring, LM and WOS would have been a real battle for region III. Navasota is in a class by themselves this year and the best team by far.

Last thing... Austin Collins is running a different speed than everyone else on the field. That kid is something else! He reminds me of Gilbert from Coldspring the last few years. Great player!

That's not what I was doing at all, they were forced turnovers. I give all the credit in the world to navasota, they are definitely the real deal. Definitely a completely different team from when we scrimmaged them the first scrimmage of the season.

I hate this split bracket/division crap. Most years the winners of both would be a great matchup for the undisputed champion of 3A. Ville and Sota would be an epic matchup that we will never see. Good luck to both teams. I have Ville and Sota winning it all.

Classy response. He stated his response, and it is hard to argue based on the Rattlers' offense and defense this year, and the total domination of three of four top ten opponents faced this year. It is okay to disagree with someone without resorting to calling them stupid. Navasota would probably be favored if they played based on record and statistics. Would you disagree based on something other than homerism? Am I brave enough to make a statement like that? No, because I know the games are played for a reason, and the Ville has beaten some great teams also.

Stephenville is a great team and should be favored. But, Ill send you updates from the state championship game.

In two of those games we were a play away from winning and lost to Gilmer and Chapel Hill, both eventual state champs. This team is better than either of those teams. You saw why we are so confident.

I just want to compliment the West Orange Stark coaches, players and fans for representing your school with class. After calling the Navasota-La Marque game, it was refreshing to see a game that was played on the field, and played the right way. Sure there was some personal fouls, etc., but nothing like the crap that we saw from La Marque.

This Navasota group is playing so well right now it is scary. This is my fourth season as the play-by-play announcer for the Rattlers, and I have said from the beginning there is something special about this team, especially the senior class. The Rattlers have continued to impress me from week to week, and every week I can't wait to get to the stadium to watch them play and do our broadcast.

Looking forward to another great game this Friday against Bellville!
