I think there are 2 all-state award lists. AP does theirs based on regular season and then you have the Coaches and they base theirs on the whole season through the SC games.
I prefer the Coaches, since it is not a media popularity contest.

Just what Texas needs, more raw atletes that can't play QB.

I agree , Texas QB situation will not be any better next year. Unbeleiveable what they recruit at QB, think that is the main reason why Seals- Jones decomitted.

It's hard to fathom that they have essentially had their choice of the top QB in the state over the past 5 years and they can't seem to find one that can be successful.

That is what happens when a college team puts their eggs in one basket...of course to be fair, a BUNCH of schools were willing to do that for Gilbert

Pleasanton’s Quarterback Luke Walters is the best I think I saw this year. He's passed for 2700+ yards in each of the last 2 seasons and had a comp % of 61+% with 35 touchdowns this season while throwing just four interceptions, their were several games this year he didn't see much action late due them being up so much. He's been a 4 year starter and has good size at 6'2 - 215 with 4.8 speed. I don't believe he's committed to anyone yet but I believe he could be a good find for someone given his size, arm strength, and football IQ.

Some video on him here

Nick Saban must be losing his too because Alabama offered him...

Either way, how does a team have the #2 scrambling QB in the nation and only win one game?

A 40 time of 4.83 is awfully slow for a major D1 college qb recruit, IMO. Some linebackers are faster than that, and maybe even some linemen! Today's college qb must have better speed, or just be a great qb like Andrew Luck.

Luck was faster than 4.8, he is not slow by any means.

I'd take the Navasota QB every time.

Luck was faster than 4.8, he is not slow by any means.

I'd take the Navasota QB every time.

i agree, Luck ran a 4.59 at NFL combine.

Derek Kiser Junior of Burnet was pretty solid
2700 yards 22 td and a 63.1% completion percentage, also rushed for 3 td's and over 100 yards. Played with a bad ankle for 6 games or he could have had better numbers.
