The Longhorns’ hopes of a Cotton Bowl were dashed when Northern Illinois reportedly finished at least 16th in the BCS rankings to be released shortly to qualify for a BCS bowl. That knocked Oklahoma out of a BCS bowl and into the Cotton, dropping UT to the Alamo Bowl. (Which is a good thing for the Longhorns or they would have had to go against Johnny Football in the Cotton bowl!)

At least texas got a bowl team they could beat cause they would been destroyed in the Cotton bowl. They need to send Northern Illinois a big Christmas Card.

Oregon State is the best team that nobody has heard of or seen play... they are a pretty good team,
Texas should be the underdog in this one and if they lose, which is likely, I am prolly going to pick them to lose unless there is a major injury to someone at Oregon State, Mack needs to be in trouble

I agree, Oregon State will create some big match-up problems on the Texas Defense. The Beavers are a better team than most believe and Texas has not proved to anyone they can stop a good offense consistently.

As much as I hate to say it, Texas may lose big. Mack will have to have divine guidance to pull this one out. Just my opinion, but it is what it is.
