There is no way Navasota scores 70 pts. I'm saying it'll be less than a 3 Td game. And Sealy has had the basketballs bouncing for a while now..
Congrats to the Brahmas on their SECOND SHUTOUT in a row in the 3rd and 4th rounds of the playoffs.. Our defense must really be horrible.

Nope.. 2005 nor 2011 has nothing to do with 2012. Wimberley was not the Wimberley of old or 2011 and Cuero has been down for a few years now.

Here's my thoughts, I've gotten to see bellville play several times. Very deceptive as far as speed, have several guys that can breakaway at any point, so does navasota. Bellville manages the clock very well which is what they will need to slow down the rattler offense. I think it will be an exciting game and a must see. I say Navasota 35 Bellville 24

My commments have nothing to do with being from Sealy or being "jealous" of Bellville's success. I've actually been cheering for Bellville this whole post-season. Bellville has not seen a team that is even in the same realm of play as Navasota this year. Their offense is forreal and their defense is just as good. They will be too much for the Brahmas.

The Bellville defense holds PI to a total of 88 yards. After watching their last game, the Tarpons appeared too one-dimensional. I was surprised to see them run such a simple offense & never even try to open things up, especially when they fell behind. With the Bellville defense dominating, I thought the Bellville offense played a little conservative. Looked like they could of ran more outside, but stuck to running inside. Maybe they didn't want to show too much to the Navasota coaches. Bellville did miss out on one score when the receiver dropped a wide open pass. Congratulations to Bellville on winning the Region 4 championship!!

Hats off to the Brahmas for winning Region 4! Everyone says it ends next week against the Rattlers but don't believe it. The game always must be played and records mean very little after the first kickoff. Last season everyone said the Leps had no chance but they barely lost 28-27 in overtime on a failed 2 point conversion. If the Leps of 2011 (4-6) could play them that close the Brahmas of 2012 (11-3) certainly have a good chance. I realize the Rattlers are better this year but Bellville is rolling and has the horses to hang with the best. Play up Bellville and go get after those Rattlers and don't listen to the noise on this board.
There are no excuse that Port Isabel loss, however you talk about missed opportunities, it appears that Port Isabel defense had something to do with that. Port Isabel made many mistake on offense and at this level you cannot win games doing that. Twice Port Isabel centered the ball over the kicker head giving Bellville the ball at the Port Isabel 8 yard line on one of these miscues the other lead to a safety. So there is 9 point of the game caused by the Port Isabel offense. Bellville other big score came on a 45 yard drive that lead to a touchdown at the start of the game. Your final score of the first half was a field goal with time running out in the first half which made the score 19 to 0. So just how many point did Bellville put up in the second half against these poor Mexican team only 3 points, so it seems that the Port Isabel defense did what it had to do and did it well, but you gave them absolutely no credit for a good defensive game. If Port Isabel defense is so bad and if I remember right you fans stated they were going to light up this defense up, well that definitely did not happen, and now I hear that Bellville defense is going to give Navasota more than they can handle. I see Navasota winning by at least 4+ TD’s and I see your offense running for high cover as Navasota has very good defense with lots of speed, and as you stated about making mistake Bellville will most likely continuing doing the same mistakes. As or the crowd, I believe that we told you it is a Valley crowd, but it seem that it is not Port Isabel crowd, you’re are right, but that is just the way it is down here. I am sure your crowd is not just made up of Bellville. If you are a team left standing at the end of the season in the Valley you are going to draw from the 1 million people living in the Valley. Bellville remember this if nothing else, the Valley support it football teams (All of Them)! Good luck in your next big adventure with Navasota be sure to give them the red carpet treatment that you gave Port Isabel, I am sure they are interested in seeing what your fans think of them and their players.
Congratulations to Bellville, you have a good team. A little arrogant for my taste but none
the less a good team. I wish you well as you advance and look forward to a rematch next year.
As for Port Isabel, it just wasn't their night. At this stage of the game the majority of the breaks
have to go your way unless you just dominate the other team. PI had some breaks go their way
but they were overshadowed by costly mistakes that gave Bellville advantageous field position.
To PI's Seniors, thanks for the memories and to the rest of the team, I look forward to next year.
I enjoyed the ride and I am proud to call myself a TRUE TARPON FAN! GO TARPONS!!!

Bellville played great football tonight.
Lastly, I am really proud of Bellville maintaining there composure for most of the night with all that was going on in the trenches and after the whistle. A lot of what saw was just embarrising. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised from what I had all heard before this game.

Texas is a big State, what is normal in one part of the State may not be the norm in another part.
That's why both sides thought the pre-game ceremony was awkward. Now that I remember in
some previous highlight videos I watched I do remember both teams running out like Bellville did.
I think it might have been a game against Wimberly not sure. Anyway with that said it looks like
both Bellville and PI were both doing the normal routine but when both teams don't use the same
routine it seems that each team is trying to intimidate the other. That's just how it's done in South
Texas, nothing wrong or right with being different, it's just different. Good luck against Navasota,

Please tell me what you thought made Bellville arrogant.
I thought this game was pretty sloppy on both sides. Too many penalties and turnovers.
The most rewarding part of the game (aside from the W) was seeing the 2 players who were at the head of the Twitter war, embrace and show sportsmanship after the game. It appears that they both had mutual respect for each other in the end.

The reason I thought some of the players were a little arrogant was because of some gestures
that 2 or 3 of the players made on PI's sideline during the game. They were aimed at the coaching staff and the fans. No big deal but no need for that. Bottom line Bellville won and you sir made a good point that it was nice to see no animosity after the game. Good luck next week and hope to meet again next year.

How many points did PI score the whole game? I don't recall any Bellville posters stating those racist remarks, just not our style. IMO, the PI defense played a good game. After watching their last game, their run defense was tough inside. I figured Bellville could have more success running outside & testing their pass defense. I have watched Bellville all season, believe me when I say their offense played conservative. Considering the way the game started, this was the smart move. You don't want to allow a team back into the game with interceptions & incomplete passes stopping the clock.
There are many predictions made on this site, everybody has a right to their own opinion. I didn't post my prediction, but I thought Bellville would win by 3 or more TD's. This was based on what I watched in the video of PI's last game. Navasota is a great team & you have the right to your 4 TD prediction.
It is great to see the Valley supporting their neighbors. Not sure if your responding to my post calling you out on fans being turned away? I was told they started letting fans sit on the Bellville side, the stadium was not at full capacity. As far as the "red carpet" treatment, we respected your team, but we have played a couple other teams that were a lot better. You may have heard of El Campo, they are playing for the state championship.

If you are saying that Bellville is arrogant because of 2 or 3 players, I guess I can say that PI is dirty because of 2 or 3 players making late hits on Bellville runners drawing unsportsmanlike penalties.....RIGHT?
Bottomline, unless you know what one teams athletes or coaches are saying when a player from the other team is on that sideline....its hard to criticize. More crap talk comes from those on the sidelines than those on the field. Just saying....
But I guess Bellville shouldnt respond to trash talk. We see where that gets us.

We are both talking about 2 different things and I am just not up to elaborating right now.
Your right both teams did play sloppy PI had a season low of 109 yards on offense, don't recall what your avg was but you guys only had about 220 yards on offense.
I too was happy to see several players doing immediately after the game, showing respect to each other. They are kids and kids and children do that, they can be fighting one minute and playing together another. We as adults do well to inmate them in that regards. With that said, I want to once more congratulate Belleville on there win and wish them the best on the next round. Now go out their and represent region 4 and go get you some 'snakes!
Footballgal, as much as i would like to see region 4 win, the odds are not in our favor. Navasota is simply just to much for Bellville or Port Isabel. Bye the way we are very proud of you Tarpons hope to see you next year in the playoffs. As for the Bellville vs Navasota.......... Navasota by at least 4 TD! I saw some of their game films, just simply too much for region 4 teams.

I wanted to get on 3ADL during the game I was so appalled by the PI band playing over Bellville's school song and having the Tarpons come on the field during the national anthem. I don't care WHERE they do it or WHERE they stand, that is disrespectful...to the other team, ok, but to OUR COUNTRY?? NEVER. Whew, I feel better getting that said. Congratulations to the Brahmas, a great win! Good game as well to the Tarpons. I can't believe having your RB in the game could've made that big a difference, given the yardage, but if so, that is too bad. I am not aware of your history or tradition, but suggest you learn to prepare, play, win and lose with the dignity of champions. Navasota had to learn that many years ago, and it has obviously served them well. Win or lose next week, I hope the teams will play with mutual respect.

The blame lays with the announcer, IMO. I have ALWAYS felt both school songs and our national anthem should be played once BOTH teams are on the field. Most coaches are on some type of schedule as far as when they come out of the locker room. As an outsider I do not think it was intentional of the Tarpons to come out at the exact time the Bellville alma mater was being played. Just bad timing. I don't care for their fans cheering BEFORE the anthem is over or their players moving before the song is over. Totally unacceptable. But they are not the only fans to do that...*sigh*
It's an emotional game. There is a winner and a loser. Respect the game and move on.

I'm with you on the RB situation. It's unfortunate that the young man could not play and I wish him a speedy recovery for whatever it is he is battling. That said.....all we heard about all week long was how strong of a running attack they had and how many strong RBs they had. If that is the case, I dont see 1 player making a difference....even if he was a starting RB. All of the other talented players should have been able to carry the load.

No TRUE Tarpon fan brought up Vela not playing and especially using it as an excuse, that's the game of football. But since it was brought up IMHO it matters only if his level of play (which includes excellent blocking) fires up his teammates. True PI fans have acknowledged that the lack of offensive output was also due in part to the quickness of the Brahmas getting in the backfield quickly and disrupting the offensive.

You probably didn't hear several Bellville players were battling the flu. Also, Bellville lost their best DT to a knee injury.

My emphasis was on dignity, not losing, and representing your school, community and COUNTRY with respect. Many have died to give us the rights and privileges we enjoy. I believe high school players should certainly be prepared for announcer mistakes, esp in regard to something as basic as proper etiquette during our National Anthem, as should the band, who played over the end of the Anthem. I may be rigid, I may be wrong, having lost someone in Afghanistan, I am definitely sensitive to the playing of our National Anthem, but my position stands. Yes, the game is over, I would hope that someone could learn from my point instead of making excuses. footballgal, I am ignorant of PI fans, true or fake, so I was strictly commenting. I hate to hear of ANY player from ANY team who is injured or ill, as a Mom, it hurts me for the player as well as the team.

Sintonfan, from a valley football fan thank you and the Sinton Fans and players for supporting a valley team. While injures happens, it does take its toll. In the case of the vela kid what most people did not know is he played hurt, bruised, dehydrated and continued until he simply could not go any more in the game with Navarro. He played with his heart and for his team attempting to get them into the 4th round. This does not excuse the level of play from the Tarpons offense against Bellville, and his team mates in my mind failed to step it up. This could be because Bellville defense was simply too much or a letdown after finding out during the week that vela was not returning. None the less Bellville was the better team Saturday and as a valley football fans I will support Bellville who represent region 4 . With that being said I am not mad but as a father of a son who did play football we worry for their safety. In the case of vela the running back for Port Isabel my heart goes out to the family, and wishes him a speedy recovery. So Tarpons fan know this as a supporter of the McAllen football programs my hats off to you for a great season. Regardless of a win or a loss, we will always support you and your fans in the playoffs, I cannot answer for everyone but I can answer for my family we are proud of The Port Isabel Tarpons a Rio Grande Valley football Program. Oh by the way Sintonfan don’t be surprised one day when you see Valley fans sitting on your side backing the Sinton Pirates in the playoffs.

Bellville's defense was very good stacking the box. Too bad they won't be able stack it next week. Offense is mediocre. Their running backs had a hard time running against an undersized defense. The only good thing about your quarterback is his height. Not that good when he runs and many of his throws were high. The reason that Belleville only scored 3 point in the second half was because of the TArpon defense the the mediocre Bellville offense. The 19 first half points were not earned by Bellville and if you can't see this I understand how Brahma fans feel that their offense was conservative and not showing too much. Believe me your coach was hoping for a Hugh lopsided score to impress Navasota. Good luck next week. Going to need it.

This isn't baseball bud, no such thing as unearned points. In case you didn't notice, the wind was blowing pretty good so I would assume that a high school QB might let a few get away from him. You also didn't mention the perfect throw he made to our TE down the middle of the field. He catches that and it's another TD, no question about it. We are not a throwing team, that is no big secret, either are y'all. I can promise you Coach Rowe does not care if we win by 1 or 100 at the end of the day. He wasn't worried about Navasota, he was worried about Port Isabel. Impress Navasota? That's the best you can come up with? C'mon man!

Ole Bull you're in denial if you think that next week your Brahmas will get the short field, that you had most of the 1st Qtr against the Tarpons. Please don't tell it was because of your defense. After the Tarpons stopped Bellville on your first drive on third down and your receiver threw a punch and our defender reteliated. We were penalized 15 yard and Bellville got the ball inside the 10 yard line. Then twice the snap went over the punter' reach and again Bellville got a short field. With our long snapper injured those things happen, don't expect that happening next week. You know what I was trying to say by unearned. I think your just trying the ignore the truth, when your team had to drive the distance to score your team couldn't. But then again Navasota could fumble the ball 10 time on your side of the field and your team can earned their point that way. Maybe I should change my prediction.

I have said in previous posts that our offense was not clicking very well in the second half, and also said that a lot of that had to do with the PI defense. We will need to play perfect on Friday. And let's not start talking about personal fouls. One of the PI players dove at the back of the legs of our #2 on a punt return after and away from the play, and it was not called. Oh yeah, another PI player mule kicked our #43 in the juevos after he tackled him and that was not called either. And believe me, .there we're others. The second guy always gets caught. We had it happen to us as well. Injuries? Part of the game. Our starting fullback had to leave the game in the second half. Another one of our RBs got dinged up as well and was not 100%.

Bull Butter: Bellville IS a nice town and the people in it ARE nice. That was why I was so concerned about what I considered the lack of respect shown before the game for an opponent and our country. I am very surprised at the offense taken here re: my opinion. Especially after all the chatter from PI the week before the game on 3ADL. Don't mind you attacking me, but please don't assume all from Bellville are as offensive as I seem to have been. I have watched a lot of football games at all levels over many years and that was a first for me. And folks, I don't hear Brahma fans saying Navasota will be a walk in the park. We had to play PI first, then prepare for the Rattlers. That begins today. Navasota is an esteemed program having a great season and the contest will be intense. I, like Ole' Bull, hope first for no injuries. Of course I want the Brahmas to win. The Rio Grande Valley is better known as the Magic Valley. These families have brothers, sisters, aunts, cousins and etc., scattered across the Rio Grande Valley. I have lived in the Valley my whole life and they have always supported each other regardless of any sport, however it is always a good way to get the entire families together. Since the Valley does not have a college or pro football team. The Valley does the next best thing and supports the teams in the playoff regardless of what schools they are. They go to have a good time and they are always hoping that the Valley teams continue to advance into the High School Playoffs. The farther they go the more Valley football fans attend the games. So in the case of Port Isabel since there were no more Valley schools left in the High School Playoff, the larger the crowds becomes. Since Port Isabel has been in the High School Playoff a number of times, they tend to come and watch their games, and have witnesses some incredible magic by the Tarpons. Such as in 1994 when Port Isabel upend Cuero ranked 8th in the nation by USA Today, again in 2003 Valley Football fans watching Port Isabel stop Altar Rice in a 63 to 61 final in 4 over times. While this year saw that magic against Navarro it was not to be against Bellville. On many occasion we have heard this or that team has a larger crowd then Port Isabel, but very few if any teams across the state have every match a Valley football crowd backing a Valley School in the High School Playoffs. To date I know of none.

88 yards (3 total yards at the end of the first half)....take that to the bank. And I guess it wasn't because our defense just outplayed your offense.

Again, as far as school song it is not their fault that the announcers get the class songs going before both teams are out. Do you think those players can even hear the announcers? Are their fans jusy suppose to NOT cheer when their boys come out? It is unfortunate, but it happens and is not intentional. I can tell you that it did not happen in our game.

I watched the replay on valleycentral.com and I can say that based on their commentary during the game, the Action 4 announcers would disagree with some of your opinions. Myabe go back and watch and listen with an open mind and you may come away with a different opinon, especially your opinion about the Bellville QB.
I was impressed by PI's effort on defense amd they deserve a lot of credit. I think PI could have passed more with some of those quick, well-timed slant rants for more offensive production. h I don't know where you get the idea tha PI was undersized, maybe on average the Bellville players were taller, but PI had some pretty stout kids on offense and defense. Bellville drove the ball 45 yards for their first score, and PI did hand them a very short field on a bad snap that the Brahmas capitalized on for a a TD. The punter should have run the ball in to the endzone and taken the safety, just like he did on the second bad snap. At this point in playoffs, all the teams are good, and mistakes play a big role in who wins.
I think a lot of the Tarpon players are juniors and will probably be back next year. The game last Saturday will prepare for them for a playoff run next year, and I hope the two teams can meet again for a rematch.

P4S-Sinton HAS been good to Bellville since '01 when we first crossed paths. We cheer for the Pirates thru the season and hope to play y'all again soon. Thanks for commenting about the announcer and, absolutely, fans should support their players. I'm just touchy when it comes to our Anthem. Will you be traveling to Waller? If not, we know you are there in spirit.

Got to watch the replay, the announcers were baffled that Bellville lined up on their own sideline for the national anthem. They said "What's that all about?" & "gamesmanship" implying that Bellville was trying to intimidate PI. Have they never watched a football game outside the valley? I too was unaware that any team would line up on the 40 yard line, never seen it in all my years of watching football. I could see the UIL passing a rule determining how this is done or at least have teams agree to what they want to do before the game.

There were a lot of the pre-game details that should have been worked out ahead of time to set expectations and avoid misunderstandings. Obviously there are some regional practices/expectations that are different, and it was made worse by the poor communication/bad sound quality of the PA system. Usually our biggest rival and pressure packed game is Sealy, and the pre-game procedure was downright moving this year, because we had the same expecations. The BV-PI pregame seems to have made people uncomfortable and was probably interpreted as gamesmanship, disrespect, or intimadation tactics by both sides.....not a good tone to set before a game. The coin toss or reenactment of the coin toss was unusual. Evidently the schedule or procedure was different than what we normally expect. Four PI kids came out without their team for the coin toss, and then our OC went out there while our whole team was still in the locker room. Normally we would expect both teams to be lined up on the sidelines and four players from each team to walk out and go trough the coin toss display. Even the 956 announcers thought this was gamemanship. I think it was just a miscommunication on the timing of when it was to occur. The crowd and band remaining quiet during the opponent's school song was something we would expect, but that may not be what PI expects.........or this could have just been a problem with the PA system or the timing since PI hadn't had the opportunity to run though their tunnel. Obviously the way the teams lined up for the national anthem caused some confusion. The PI players who were near the Bellville sideline had to bunch up to avoid being right next to the Brahma players, at first I thought they were forming a "T" for Tarpons. Those kids were actually bunching up to avoid being right up next to the Brahmas. Nothing wrong with how PI lined up, just different than what we and most people expect since college and NFL teams line up along the sideline. Remaining quiet for the entire national anthem is something we expect or have expected in the past. I was kind of taken back that the Wimberley players started slapping their teammates shoulder pads towards the end of the national anthem. I asked someone about it, and they told me it was something a lot of teams do as an applause during the last verse. At pro games, crowds are starting to cheer earlier and earlier before the anthem ends, as kind of a patriotic celebration. Maybe it is the norm in the valley to do this just a little earlier and include the band. I don't think it is at all an attempt to direspect the national anthem, more likely it is an attempt to celebrate it. I prefer it to be totally silent during the entire song, but no one is asking me. The UIL needs to consider guidelines for playoff games, or make sure there is agreement between the teams on the way the pre-game is handled. I hope we get to experience state championship pre-game procedure!

That's amazing to me. At every level of football, teams line up on the sidelines during the national anthem. Why is this all of a sudden a huge shock to the announcers?

Because in South Texas both teams line up on each of the 40 yard lines and face the flag for the anthem. THEN after the anthem they run behind their sign or inflated helmet or whatever and run out onto the field.
That's the way I've always seen it done in S. Texas. Perhaps you should get out more?

Well everywhere else in the country they do it from the sideline. Have you ever seen a college or pro team line up on their own 40's???? C'mon man. That was the first time I have ever seen it done. And instead of AFTER the anthem, didnt you mean about 3/4 of the way thru the anthem? :stirpot:

UHHHHHHHHH....thanks for that by the way. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it for either side. Coldspring lined up across the endzone last year for the anthem and I thought that was different too. Perhaps you and your South Texas folks and the announcers should get out more. The announcers must have never covered or seen another football game other than South Texas high school football. It is very common for all football teams (as seen in college and NFL games) to stand on their own sidelines when the anthem is played.

Wow, nitpick much?
To me, everything seemed normal except the part where Bellville ran out and forced some of PI's players to move out of the way. Yes, I understand that's how YOU do it, but you were also seeing how WE do it. And then you call us distespectful just because some of our fans start cheering a little before the final note of the anthem is played to the end. Please, get over yourselves. I find all this incredibly petty.
Guess this explains why I got some very evil looks at the Whataburger in Refugio from some Bellville fans on my way back to Houston after the game! sheesh!!! I seriously thought I was going to get jumped.

Not to "nitpick," but it wasn't Bellville who made them move. It was the officials. Obviously they had seen how Bellville and most other teams in the state enter the field and knew that it would cause a problem having PI blocking the entrance.
Also, it has nothing to do with Bellville in regards to playing the vuvuzelas and cheering during our NATIONAL ANTHEM and SCHOOL SONG. It's respect for our country, our flag and your opponent. And you didnt hear us ringing our cow bells during your school song....did you? WE (as Bellville citizens) do not need to get over anything.
Evil looks at Whataburger.......pshhhhhh. Come on now. Going to get jumped....for what? Ordering extra cheese on your #2. Get out of here with that garbage. That's how rumors get started.

Hey, just telling you what I experienced! Sorry!
But regarding the Bellville school song, one, the PA system at that stadium sucked. I had no idea what was happening, and two, I couldn't hear the Bellville band at all. And before you say that our fans were yelling and stuff, the section of the stadium I was in was standing and quiet except for a couple of little kids blowing on those damned horns.

It is what it is
Bellville has their way of doing things, PI has their own way of doing things. Though they may be different, by no means did PI intend any disrespect towards anyone by their actions.
I am going to drop this subject now, as it baffles me greatly how something so minor could have irritated some people so much.
Peace!

I know right.....disrespecting OUR COUNTRY is a pretty minor thing. At least have some respect for those understand what the anthem means and stands for. After 2 weeks of listening to PI folks play the poor me card (acting like Bellville is evil...and you know what I'm talking about) and then call our players out for being arrogant....it does take a toll. You start junk and when we respond, you point the finger to make our players and community out to be monsters. All we ask for is respect for our COUNTRY and SCHOOL.
I guess we won't get that, but "it is what it is".........

Now let’s recall that it was a couple of Bull fans that stated first, their displeasure of what they perceived was disrespectful and how things should have been conducted or not conducted. And now you want our LOCAL announcers to adapt to something YOU are used to, come on now, be real here. It's neither better nor worst just a DIFFERENT way of lining up. Truth be told, I thought you guys were being disrespectful but I get it now, that's just the way you line-up and I can live with it why can't you? Even when the Tarps went deep in the playoffs in the past years, I never heard anyone complain about the way teams are lined up, nor had I seen anyone that I can remember line-up on the sidelines, that or I didn’t pay attention. I also want to add that we were sitting in the middle of the home stands top rows, and I could barely hear the PI band, I could not hear the PI school song, not the national anthem (probably due to where the PI band was sitting and the wind's direction) and barely hear the announcer but a few times during the entire game. In addition, I would like to add that just because of a few people, who choose to cheer before the entire song is finished, does not make for the rest of us disrespectful.
BTW Whitelighting5 what is a vuvuzelas? lol Are you refering to the blue plastic horns? During this season I saw but a couple of people with them and then last week a whole bunch fans had them. Some kids sitting behind us were blowing those things, I was really annoyed, especially because I already had a sinus headache when I got there.

You're right. The vuvuzela is the horn. I couldn't possibly care any less how they line up. I was merely questioning why the commentators on the links provided made a big deal out of the way "we do things" when its pretty common to line up on the sidelines during the anthem. Also, in regards to the way PI lined up across the field when Bellville went to run through their banner and helmet.....would it have made your fans and players happier if the team ran over, through and in the middle of your team? I would like to think that the officials did the right thing there in having the team give our team a path to our sideline.

1. The 2 schools are obviously used to doing pre-game differently. Neither is right or wrong. It simply made for an awkward sequence. Especially since the PI team had so many kids suited up due to JV/Freshman move ups. I can assure you no malice or gamesmanship was intended.
2. The reason the PI fans were cheering & blowing the horns during Bellville's school song was because the PI team was exiting the locker room and coming on to the field. I'm absolutely certain Coach Stumbaugh didn't have an assistant standing outside waiting to hear Bellville's band play their school song so he could send the team out there at the precise moment. Once again, awkward timing.
3. National Anthem---I won't lie....a few years back the PI team had a bad habit of jumping around and whooping & hollering before the song was over. I believe some fans complained, because it stopped last year. Only recently, have the fans (and now players too) begun resume this dumb ritual.
I can't speak for all of the PI fans, but I can assure that the Tarpon team/coaches had no intent on disrespecting Bellville.
Good Luck this weekend!

I really dont get it. Admit it was disrespectful to cheer and play the vuvuzelas during the National Anthem and that more respect should have been shown during our school song (like we showed your team) and move on. Apologize? My family and I did not cheer during the national anthem and never have, and yes it is disrespectful but we don't play in the band. And why should I get out of here? You get out of here, go to the Navasota vs Bellville thread.

I'm closing this thread. It has run it's course and has become one big argument.
