You can blame the doctors, coaches, and parents (for that for matter). I know any player wants to play, especially in the playoffs. Its your job to protect him from further injury.

Yes, great job of coaching on both sides of the ball. Gotta love the balanced attack by the Bellville offense. I personally thought Bellville would have a very big night running the ball. Give credit the OG defense, tough in the trenches & good quick lateral pursuit. Bellville did manage 173 yards rushing, but it was the combination of 182 yards through the air that was just too much for the Bulldog defense. QB Fuchs finished with 3 TD passes & also scored on a 1 yard run. The 2nd quarter 33 yard TD pass to Parker was about a good of a throw that I have seen in a long time. This young man has really taken his game to the next level & in my opinion, the primary reason this Bellville team is on a roll.

What can you say about the Bellville defense? They held OG to just 33 yards rushing & came down with 5 interceptions. On those 5 picks, the QB made good throws, but it was the outstanding coverage by the defenders that led to those turnovers. Big night from #1, #4 & #34. Don't want to forget #33 & #63, they consistently make plays all over the field. Also, this defense has been doing a great job of tackling & wrapping up the ball carrier.

Belleville sounds like they beat a 2nd string QB from OG. Hard to be competitive when your star player is on the bench. That's the trouble with most small 3A schools, they have three or four very talented players and if they loose one its very hard to make that up. Hats off to Bellville. Good luck against PI. They will run it down your throat!

Yeah. The injured player was injured before the game ever started. He tried to play on a torn ACL and the leg gave away on the 3rd play of the game. The backup was a freshman.

Congrats to Bellville team and coaching staff. Complete game in all aspects.

I felt bad for OG QB who tried to go on bad knee. For it to buckle on third play with no contact shows he should never have been on field. Backup played admirably but just to much Bellville D.

Bring on PI. Bellville coaches will have the boys ready.

Don't think it would of made much difference. OG just didn't have the speed to cover the Bellville receivers & their offense couldn't run the ball against a quick reacting Bellville defense. Bellville has 2 excellent corners that basically took away OG's top receivers. Bellville's third corner (#1) came in on passing downs & had a great game. The OG QB has a good arm, but his receivers were tightly covered most of the night.

I didn't go to the game but I have friends who's boys play for OG and watched those kids perform agaisnt Sinton. Healthy teams continue in the playoffs. Bellville may have still won the game if the Grove'd Starting QB was healthy, but the score would have been different I am sure. We shall see how the Bellville D handles PI.

Go get'em Bellville. Knew the talent was there. Just took awhile to get it lined out and clicking together. Right time to gell BV.
