A lot of convincing was done tonight...but there's still a lot of folks out in the woods who are non-believers.....we will see if there are some converts in the Kilgore area next week

Somebody is going to have to be able to play man in tight coverage and bump them at the line to mess up the timing and put heat on the QB. The O-line is awesome as is 22 and 25 out of the backfield toting the rock. Gonna take a good team and Wylie ain't no slouch.

This is Sville's first trip to the semis since 2005 where they lost to Matthew Stafford led HP 41-38. Stafford threw a TD pass with 15 sec left to take the lead. That was the 4A D1 playoffs when it was 5 rounds before they added a 4th team to 4A. The Jackets have made it to the 4th round for 3 years in a row now and 4 out of the last 5. The point of this is Sville hasn't been past the 4th round since 1999. I am hopeful that changes this Friday.

Great game Stephenville I thought Wyile would win and I was wrong I dont think anyone can hang with yall if you dont turn the ball over.

Just watched their basketball team make it to a tourney championship game before falling in 2nd OT....without several fb players. Svill will be a force in roundball as well.

Just watched their basketball team make it to a tourney championship game before falling in 2nd OT....without several fb players. Svill will be a force in roundball as well.


We played 6 players the Championship game. We had 16 point lead to start the 4th. The team played good this weekend just wore out and made to many mistakes. White Oak can hit the three ball and the big kid can play.

Yeah it was a fun game to watch. Honestly Sville didn't look like much but they could really play. #1 is the one of the best PG's I've seen in a while.

Yep, no doubts now...this is not a 3a school...last two weeks of football have proved it to me...won't be picking against the Jackets in any sport again...then again, there is the Yates issue...best of luck and build a new trophy room.

Are Abilene Wylie, Brownwood, Lampasas. Burnet, Springtown, Big Spring, etc 3a's?

No disrespect at all, in fact, just the opposite. I was amazed by the size, speed and number of quality players on the Stephenville team. It will be fun to see just how much you guys can win over the next decade. And if QB wants to switch his commit to Tech, I'm fine with that also! Best of Luck!

There is a reason for it. When I first joined this site I told everyone nobody works harder than this team. It's a year around deal and most kids workout on their own more than most other kids by a huge margin. They are strong as can be with the best coaching and a great support system. It's a great place for a kid who wants to push the limits. Kids take very very few breaks there is no time off. Stephenville football last 4 years.
