The refs are helping the Cougars big time. Should have been offsetting penalties on the late hit out of bounds, yet Navasota gets the call. Right after they rule the fumble recovery down without discussion.

I was not impressed at all with LaMarque offensively. Throw in the 2 gimme tds for Navasota on punt/snap debacles and its a closer game. Navasota good on offense but didn't blow me away. Overall, Navasota was clearly better. Stephenville would be both by 14+ so beat glad you dodge that bullet

WOS was sloppy with penalties in the first half tonight too.. I think whomever plays the cleanest next week wins. Will definitely be interesting. Held the the star Lorena QB to less than 100 yds. We haven't faced an offense like the Rattlers but you haven't faced a defense like ours either.

A buddy of mine played for Texas City when LM was 4A and he said they practically needed kevlar and armed guards to get off the bus in LM and play. He also said it was crazy what happened on the field.

They obviously have good talent in their staff and with their players but, their style of play is thuggish as it comes and their staff should be ashamed of either promoting that behavior or atleast allowing it. Parents have to take a lot of responsibility for the way those kids act. Lot of difference in being physical and being down right dirty and disrespectful. I think it goes with the territory myself and don't have any respect for the program. UIL needs to take another look at this program. Atleast you guys didn't have to play them at home. Glad to see Navasota put them in their place. Tired of hearing about them holding out on the magic playbook and playing vanilla all season, blah, blah, blah. I picked Navasota early on, to end up playing in the SC game so you guys go represent R3 well and bring back that ring

Well, I was glad you spoke out and others need to express their disapproval as well. I made some comments about it after the Roughnecks played them in La Marque and it was taken as sour grapes. Not at all, for sure. Bottom line is, they need to clean up their act. I swear the officials on that field were either intimidated or homers. It was said that even someone on their staff made a smart a$$ remark to one of our players at the sideline. They can argue all they want about not being dirty and thuggish but if it quacks its a duck, if it meow's its a cat and, if it swings from a tree limb and picks at its butt it's an ape. Good luck with WOS and you'll find they are a well oiled machine but will play you clean.
