"It's not really a great scenario," Saban said. "You play your way into the championship game, which means you're the best team in your division. It doesn't seem quite right. I don't feel good about it for our football team or their football team (Georgia)."


How can Nick Saban, who did not play for his own conference championship last year, but yet play for the title.. say the same thing about Florida...

the good thing is... he exposes the flaws in a media driven system...

if Florida started the year ranked higher, much like KState, Alabama would not have a shot either

Nick Saban is a heck of a coach, but I am shocked by his comments. First off, he basically already whining and complaining in the event Bama loses to Georgia. He is claiming that in this situation, even though his team would have 2 losses, they should still get the BCS Sugar Bowl invite over a 1 loss Florida team. That is nuts!!!!!! Second of all, last year when the BCS put his team into the Championship game against LSU, who has ALREADY BEAT BAMA, Saban didn't seem to think the system was flawed! Saban is in favor of things as long as it benefits him. I hope Georgia wins the SEC championship game so Saban can be humbled by a 2 loss season and a bowl game with a mediocre 2-3 million dollar payout!

He shouldnt even be in the consideration because he lost to a #15 team at the time. The should be at 10 or lower . or A&M should be ahead of them.

He shouldnt even be in the consideration because he lost to a #15 team at the time. The should be at 10 or lower . or A&M should be ahead of them.

Why should they be 10 or lower? that makes 0 sense.

They have 1 loss, they should at least be ranked ahead of all the 2 loss teams, including A&M.

exactly, for everything that Joe Pa did that was wrong... he did say one thing that was right... the problem with the BCS is not computers, it is humans... the National Championship is predetermined by preseason rankings...

Playoffs are needed...

They lost to a team ranked 15 at the time and that team moved to 9 while they only dropped to 4. That makes 0 sense

remember once a team losing(really got abused) in it's conference championship game to a 15th rank team and playing in the title a few later.

Georgia got hammered by then #6 S Carolina 35-7

Florida lost to then #10 Georgia

Oregon lost to then #13 Stanford

LSU has two losses

Kansas State lost to a terrible unranked Baylor team.

Stanford and A&M both have two losses.

No championship should be based on a Biased popular opinion ranking system. And that includes the new bogus playoff system that they come up with for next year. Its a joke!
