Celina/Henderson Who ya got and why

I'm going to take Celina in this one. I think they have grown up a little since last year. Don't know much about Henderson.

Henderson is tough. Not pretty, but tough. They'll likely put Monster Brown at QB and run him about 25 times..... student body right, student body left. He's an okay passer and will heave a few downfield if you cheat your safeties up too far. If he starts tiring, they'll give more carries to the RB, Wright.... who is a pretty good back in his own right. They do put the ball on the ground a lot.

Defensively, they're not real big but extremely quick. They are very good against the run. The DE, #44 Bo Brady, can get to the QB as fast as anyone I have seen this year.

One more thing...... don't kick it to Patrick Brown.

I am leaning towards henderson more due to the blow out that Argyle gave the Bobcats. It will be interesting to see if they have learned from that or Figured out there issues. I think Celina can win but it will be tough!

I don't think Celina will be able to contain Monsta (among others), nor do I think they will be able to do much against the Lions' stout defense. I look for Henderson to win going away. I could be wrong, but...........I just think it'll be Henderson facing the Buckeyes (provided the Buckeyes play like they are capable against Argyle) again next week. At least that's what I'm counting on.;)

Celina's disappointed in two games against strong competition they've played. Track record isn't real good in 2011, the only two teams of note they played they were beaten (and blown away) in one of the games.

I'm not basing my prediction on what happened in the Celina-Argyle game. That was an anomoly.....just weird. Other than that game, Celina has steadily improved all season to get their team playing a very good brand of football to this point. I don't believe one player called "Monsta" will impact this game sooo much that a team of Celina's capabilities will allow for it to happen all nite....maybe not for even a half. Celina's offense is too good not to be able to overcome a few big scores by Monsta and Co., otherwise known as the Henderson Lions. I look for a relatively moderate scoring affair from both sides, but in the end it will be the Celina Bobcats of District 10 coming away with the win. I realize Henderson has speed and a very good defense to compliment the big-play capabilities of Monsta Brown, but I also realize Celina will be bringing lots of speed and talent to this playoff venue too. Which Celina team will show up on the field Friday nite? THE REAL ONE. If both teams play well, Celina wins this one. I believe both teams will play lights out. Celina 37 Henderson 28.

First of all, Argyle is not the best 3-A team in the state. I think Stephenville has that at the moment. 2nd of all, if Celina couldn't stop Henderson's offense last year they have no shot this year. Completely different offenses, but wildcat is harder to stop. I do think Celina will eventually slow it down, 3rd or 4th quarter, but henderson will already be up like 28-0. Henderson wins 38-14!

You'd have to go back to 1959 when Celina lost two games 0-60, to Honey Grove and to Rockwall. In 1958 they lost 12-72 to Cooper
