He's been missing for 2 and a half days. It takes 3 hrs to get to Dallas... There is no report of him going to Dallas. That's just where his family is. He didnt go to practice on Tuesday so that was a huge red flag.

Missing Aggie football player found safe

Thomas Linze Johnson, the 18-year-old Texas A&M University freshman receiver who went missing Monday, reportedly has been found safe.

ESPN.com and MyFoxHouston report that an A&M police spokesman confirmed early Thursday morning that Johnson was safe.

The Dallas Skyline High grad was last seen leaving his College Station residence in street clothes about 5 p.m. Monday.

KRIV-TV Fox 26 reports that authorities thought Johnson was going to see relatives in the Dallas area, but didn't show up.

Further details were not immediately available Thursday morning.

An A&M official told the Houston Chronicle on Wednesday night that he missed practice Monday and Tuesday. After he was apparently missing for 48 hours, the police announced their search for Johnson, who has 30 catches for 339 yards in 10 games this season for the 8-2 Aggies.

"All of us are obviously very concerned about the safety and well-being of Thomas Johnson, who has been missing since Monday evening," A&M coach Kevin Sumlin said in a statement. "Authorities are working closely with his family, friends and law enforcement agencies to help locate him. Thomas is a tremendous student-athlete, greatly admired by his fellow teammates and all of us on the coaching staff."

A&M freshman defensive back De'Vante Harris also posted on his Twitter account Wednesday night, "Everybody help please find my cousin Thomas. If y'all find out anything, please call (police)."

Another A&M official who has interacted multiple times with Johnson over the past six months said the freshman struck him as anything but flaky, and not prone to take off without telling anyone.

Johnson had three catches for 22 yards in the No. 8 Aggies' 29-24 shocker of then-No. 1 Alabama on Saturday.

By Wednesday night, A&M's athletic website, which championed the colossal upset early in the week, featured something it never had before: a picture of a missing student-athlete.

Says he was found near Dallas but his family had no information on where he was. Strange situation but glad he's safe

I admit that I am a UT fan but that wasn't a good solution.
