Who would have expected for the Horns to win in Lubbock

I doubt that Mack's job was on the line for this season, but it was a good win that the Longhorns needed against a pretty stout TT offense. Looked to me like an improved Texas defense this week over what we have seen in the preceding weeks. Texas will have a winning season again, just not dominate the competition in the Big 12 like some were saying. They are at least a year away, if not two. This is considered a "rebuilding" year for Texas, and they'll still have a decent season. Just not top tier.

I was shocked by the way the Horns D shut down Tech! I had predicted a blowout by the Red Raiders similar to the OU game! This team has me puzzled this year. Which team will show up for Iowa St. next week? The one against OU and Kansas or the one we saw today?

It's amazing how much better the offense is when they don't try to make Joe Bergeron the feature every down back.
