As I watched the Ingleside defense last night I couldn't help but wonder if they have gotten better since the Refugio game. Then I thought well losing by 7 to Cuero might indicate maybe not. Then look what Cuero has done. I think the new defensive coordinator has got those kids playing some really good defense. The offense has not been a juggernaut, but with as good as the defense has played they really haven't had too. With all due respect to Rockport and the injuries that they have sustained, the score could have been unnecessarily worse last night. Ingleside has only allowed 21 points in district play. The offense is averaging a little over 42 points per game in district play. I do not think OG will be a pushover and it might be even closer than what people may expect, but I really like Ingleside chances.

I have been saying from the beginning that Ingleside's pre-district schedule has been tougher than in the past. IMO Orange Grove hasn't seen a defense that has the speed that Ingleside has. If the players and coaches are as prepared as they were in the Sinton game then the score might be very similar.

Ingleside's defense has really played well in district. I think Sinton's offense proved that OG's defense may be questionable. Ingleside by 2 TDs.

I think what we are seeing with the Mustangs is that they completely changed the defense this year, they are learning a whole new system with a new D-coordinator, naturally your gonna give points up early in the season I think as they are getting more comfortable in the system and it's showing on the field.

:iagree: That is what I read in the Caller-Times article. The D seems to be getting better. I think they are peaking at the right time. The offense is playing better as well, but I am still seeing some passes that are being dropped that could be going for huge gains or TD's.

How come you didn't put the Sinton game scores up there??? Sinton had a bad night against the Mustangs. Don't know that they would win if that game were play over, but the outcome wouldn't be near as lopsided.

I know we beat Orange Grove but it wasn't til the 2nd half til we finally started catching the ball better instead of dropping sure tds. I think the bye before district kind of took the timing off the offense because before that they were catching everything thrown at them.

Orange Grove is good hope they play well in the playoffs and represent district 30.

Yeah I heard they had big lineman, hope those games against Cuero, Beeville and George West pay off all three of those line we're big, even Sinton and Rockport had good size....I think Ingleside will do well in this game, I think OG will be forced to throw to win this game, cause Ingleside has held some pretty good RB and QB in check this year. But I don't think it will be easy, as it looks their QB is small , fast and shifty.

I remember that game vividly because my wife decided to go with me and she said that it was one of the most exciting high school football games she had been to in a while.

Yeah, that game was one of the best games I had ever been to as well it was back and forth all night, it was definetly nerve racking.....hey does anyone know if Orange Grove did anything to improve their seating, 2006 was the last time Ingleside played there and we brought a packed house, I got there almost an hour early and it was standing room only. They had to have had the smallest seating of any stadium we've ever played in in recent history, not sure if they'd expanded if not were gonna have to get there atleast 2hour early if we want a seat.:nerd:

When I saw them, Gatlin was hurt, so that kind of hindered the passing game. Bulldogs defense is ok, undersized but quick. Game being in Jim Wells Co. will help the Dogs. Could go either way. Good luck to all three teams in the playoffs. I know the Mustangs are disappointed in having the share district but this district was tough this year where anything could happen on any given night. Home teams won all three games in the head to head competition with the three co-champions.
