West Orange-Stark logs their 5th consecutive shutout, 7th of the season which is a school record in a single season! Clinches the D2 top seed for the playoffs from 21-3A

(8-1, 5-0) Silsbee up next to close out the regular season. Should be a game on par with the Jasper game. WO-S has fared better in all 7 games against common opponents but that means nothing against rivals especially playing AT Silsbee

West Orange-Stark (9-0, 5-0)
316 points scored, 20 points allowed

(4A) Little Cypress-Mauriceville 18-0
(4A) Port Neches-Groves 34-13

22-3A Standings after Week 9

Coldspring 6-0, 8-2
Cleveland 3-2, 6-3
Huffman Hargrave 3-2, 6-3
Shepherd 3-2, 5-4
Liberty 2-3, 2-7
Splendora 1-4, 4-5
Tarkington 0-5, 3-6

Next Week:

Cleveland @ Shepherd
Huffman Hargrave @ Splendora
Liberty @ Tarkington

Playoff implications are still wide open here for the 2nd and 3rd playoff spots with Cleveland, Huffman and Shepherd still having a shot. The winner of Cleveland vs Shepherd automatically gets in. If Huffman wins they get in. Huffman goes D1 if they qualify otherwise Cleveland will go D1 if Huffman doesn't qualify. Despite Liberty's win over Shepherd tonight I don't believe they can qualify unless the district has a diffferent tiebreak method of which I am unaware.

Huffman won 39-12 over Tarkington. Was waiting for that final score. All results for the two districts are in.

The WO-S defense has been unscored upon in the last 30 quarters played (7 and a half games) dating back to PN-G's touchdown in the 2nd quarter in Week 1. Jasper recovered a fumble in the end zone with 58 seconds left in that game. The Silsbee game next week will be a huge test. Silsbee will be the best team statistically we'll have played since Jasper.
