Not too shabby in his Rockets debut.

Plus 4 steals!
Rockets paid a lot to get Harden, but it could turn out to be a great trade!

A great game but you have to remember it is preseason.

That was the first game of the regular season.
Rockets defeat Atlanta 109-102 Friday night, with Harden scoring 45 points on just 19 attempts. I had to chuckle when TNT was talking about what a great trade OKC made picking up Kevin Martin. I have to give the Rockets organization credit for going after a player like Harden & projecting him as a break out star. Some would say that he benefited playing with 2 star players, but stats showed that he was even better when he wasn't on the floor with Durant & Westbrook. I think that him having to defer more to those guys showed that he was a team player, but also kept his personal stats down. So far, this appears to be a great trade for the Rockets. One other note, Harden is not scoring all these points by just shooting a lot of shots. He has made his teammates a lot better & seems to care more about winning.

I'm sure glad Houston got him. What a hugh mistake by the Thunder in letting this one get away.
