I'm not sold on Krum, even being 9-0 I think they're suspect to a fairly easy schedule. I'll take Gainesville by 14

we've played both. at no point did i say we should have won the gainesville game but the krum game was winnable. gainesville has more speed and size. props to Krum for a good season. good luck with district 10 in the playoffs. thats when Krum will see some good D! and yes Gville by 20

I tend to agree with you, Eagle11. I think the speed of Gainesville will allow them to make stops on D, and break plays on the offensive side. If Krum does beat Gainesville, they will have maybe set some kind of record for a team in its first UIL year in football. Has it EVER been done before at any level? I mean a perfect 10-0 record and winning the district title outright? That would be worth checking into. Adds a little more interest to an already interesting situation.

I'm taking the Blue Bobcats in this one. I like the underdog.

The Leps should be favored in this one, but Krum is playing like a team with something to prove and could win this one.

Can we classify this as a cat fight?

21 - 20 kiddie cats

big cats tie it up late but miss the P.A.T

I'm glad to see this game was awarded the GOTW for Region 2. Both of these teams have had outstanding seasons and will be going to the playoffs....Gainesville for the first time in at least 5 years, and Krum on its maiden voyage. Good luck to both teams Friday nite. I have a feeling this will actually be a very good and close ballgame.

So far they look to be pretty evenly matched. Gainesville is fast though.

Congrats to both teams on a great game tonite and a stellar season to this point. I heard the new stadium at Gainesville was full capacity.

Turnovers are part of the game, and is the only reason it was a close game. Gainesville's defense didn't give up a score until late in the 4th qtr. Congrats to Krum on a successful 1st varsity season.

So I got what may seem like a stupid question. What if by some chance bridgeport pulls off a win against Gainesville next week. Gainesville would end their season 9-1 just like Krum. What than determines the district champion? I know everyone says Gainesville is the champion after tonight's game, but with one more game left to play, I was just curious how that works.

Gainesville would be district champs based upon head to head score.

Like Butch Cassidy said once "Who are those guys?" Great game Krum and congrats to Gainesville for the win.

Actually if Bridgeport beats Gainsville it would be a three way tie for first place. Gainsville, Bridgeport, and Krum would all be 3-1 in district and therefore I am not sure how it gets settled. At one time I heard that all three would be considered District champs and Gainsville would go big school and the other two would flip a coin for the small school matchups. Not sure if that part is true.

I've heard Gainesville is going big school regardless of what happens.

So it ain't decided yet then. Bridgeport still has a chance to dethrone undefeated Gainesville this coming Friday. That would really be something if that happened, considering all the travails Bridgeport has been thru this season.
