At halftime Ingleside High School will honor the 1962 state finalist team(50 yrs). This was the first time the Mustangs made it to the State Championship game.Rotan ran away with this game and won the state championship. Head Coach Wilsher and Assist. Coach Gregor will be there. Assist. Coach Wade is deceased. Many of the players will be there. About a half dozen players are deceased. It will be an exciting halftime in Mustang Stadium.

I think Rotan was Godzilla that year. They gave Ingleside an ass kicking. Not making excuses(we wouldn't have beat them under any circumstances) but the father of our star running back (Bobby Jones) passed away the day before the game. Even though Bobby played in the game his mind probably was not in it. It might have been a closer game.

I think the Mustangs will come out real fired up. They will want to make a good showing with members of the 62 team in the stands. R-F will have to score a lot of points to win this one. I don't think that is going to happen the way Ingleside's defense has been playing.

That would've been tough without the injuries, we had a solid team, but injuries completely decimated us. It sucks, but such is life I guess, there's always next year thankfully.
