So because he's out of the pocket that means he has to throw it 10 yards out of the back of the endzone?

Jimmy Johnson just nailed it.
He said, "The key to success in the NFL is not how many great plays you make, its how few bad plays you make. They turned it over six times, that's the reason they lost."
He is still one of the best coaches to ever coach the game, that truly understands the fundamentals.

It was exciting for sure but if not for the 6 freakin turnovers New York wasn't even in this game. Why is Felix Jones still on this team? Ogletree disappeared in this game as did Demarcus Ware. I had a horse one time and his name should have been Romo. He was a fantastic horse but you could be riding him and everything going great and then his brain would fall out. Romo reminds me of him.

Very seldom do I agree w eagle, but this is the bottom line.

Week after week this team is awful in the first quarter of games. And they almost always mismanage late game situations. Did it again on the series before last when they had 3 plays to get 1 yard.

The D was really good.

I would have hope too if we weren't seeing the same mindless crap every week. We keep saying that if they would just clean up this or clean up that. This team has a poor football IQ and it starts all the way at the top.

One play in particular was telling for me. There was a call against the Cowboys and Garrett was trying to work the ref and he quickly realized that he had to get a play into Romo. That is exactly why many of us have been saying he needs to hand the offense over to Callahan. He could not do the job of a HC and work the official because he had to get a play in to Romo. That, to me, is a microcosm of this organization. You have GM making rap commercials for Papa Johns instead of working on this roster. And while JG isn't making pizza comercials, he can't possibly do the job of HC and OC to fullest of his abilities.

Not really a big Dez Bryant fan, but I can't see hanging him with this loss because he made a circus catch and came down out of bounds by a finger joint. Cowboys are just too streaky on offense. If they can ever put together more good offensive series than bad, and score TD's a high % of the time from the red zone, they will have turned the corner.

I've defended Dez many times on this board. I still like the kid, but I just don't see him developing the consistency to fulfill his potential. He's the type of guy that will make plays that take your breath away and then the next series he does what he did on that punt. He's either way high or way low.

You know, the thing is, I think Dez is really a good guy at heart. When you saw he and JG talking on the sidelines, he was 'yes, sir' and 'no, sir' the whole time. And no one can question his passion and will to win. The guy is just not smart. I really think his biggest issue is purely an IQ thing.
